◎Performance (approx. 40 minutes)

Spring is a season beloved by poets and has been the subject of many poems. The poems from the Wakan Roeishu, which was compiled during the Heian period, will be interpreted by the Shirabyoshi, a performing artist active in the late Heian period.

1. From Wakan Roeishu

Chinese Poetry "Wild Flowers, Fragrances, Red Brocades, Playing Lines, Biluotian" by Liu Yuxi (Nineteenth Poem)

Waka poem: "When I stand in the fields, the crimson brocade spreads out, When the sky shines, the blue silk brocade plays with the wind." by Ono no Takamura (Poem 22)

2. "Yusei" from "Iketsu Chocho" and "Spring Nightingale Song"

3. From the Wakan Roeishu

Chinese poem ``Remaining Spring Absent, Spring Visiting People Lonely, Unfavorable Wind Wind Undefined, Wind Rises Flowers Sosaku''

(Spring does not stay, Spring returns and people are lonely, The wind is tired but the wind does not settle, The wind rises and the flowers are deserted.) Li Bai (Poem No. 50)

4. "Double-tone rhythm" "Spring Garden Flowers" (one volume) Bugaku, Kabuki and Gagaku

"To send off spring, I do not use boats and carriages, but only part with the lingering nightingales and the fallen flowers." - Sugawara no Michizane (Poem No. 53)

5. “Zanmono Shirabyoshi” Collection of Japanese and Chinese poems

"The moon falls on the west tower, the song of the flower room, the light remains in the central hall, the sound of bamboo sticks" by Sugawara Fumitoki (Poem 71)

・Sakura rice

We have a variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages available.
